Anthea Paelo’s Picture Frames WINS Writivism Competition 2013

Writivism 2013 closed with the announcement of the winners.

Anthea Paelo, the competition overall winner took home a one-year writing contract with Simua through which 1,000,000/= will be earned, a ticket to the Women, Words and Power Breakfast in Johannesburg, South Africa, a copy of Onyeka Nwelue’s Abyssinian Boy, a copy of Zukiswa Wanner’s Men of the South and KWANI? 7. The 1st runner up was Rashidah Nassanga and the 2nd runner up Kathryn Kazibwe. They also took home various prizes.

The call for applications to attend the Writivism 2014 workshop will be announced towards the end of 2013 and will extend the project to the whole of Africa. Keep watching this space.
