Women in Nigeria, this one is for you. Access Bank’s W Community, which is the No 1 platform for Women in Nigeria, has introduced a writing competition strictly for WOMEN. And just so we are clear, WInk stands for ‘The Woman and her Ink’ and not women writing naughty stories 😉 as I’d originally thought.
As women around the world #PledgeForParity in the International Women’s Month of March, W community is using this competition to inspire creativity in women, engage them in a conversation that is important to self-discovery and influence general societal behavior through writing.
The challenge is a prose competition open to topics around family, love, business, health, lifestyle and trending issues and prizes to be won include laptops, other mobile devices, books and loads of discount vouchers.
So, ladies, what are you waiting for? You should be editing the draft of your winning article for the WInk Challenge by now! Keep in mind that the competition starts on Tuesday March 1st, 2016 and closes on Thursday, March 31st, 2016. Submissions should be uploaded on www.theWcommunity.com, where you’ll also find additional guidelines as articles will be screened before they are published.
