2016 Festival: Restoring Connections
Date: 22 – 28, August, 2016
Premier events include Afrikult Readers Choice Awards, This is Africa keynote addresses and Long Story Short performances. Other activities include workshops for aspiring literature sector entrepreneurs by Bristol and Stellenbosch universities, Afrikult workshops for teenagers, activities for children, school visits, book launches and readings, prize awards ceremonies, panel discussions, a photo exhibition, etc.

* Special Festival PRICE for copies of books authored by festival speakers
* Authors of 24 Festival Featured Books will be available to sign copies.
FOR Non-Uganda residents:
Accommodation and Meals packages will go on sale on May 23, 2016. This is an opportunity to stay in the same residence with the festival speakers for a week, eat with them and have a full festival experience as a guest. Accommodation facilities are all near the festival venue. Photos will be available.
FOR Uganda residents:
Of the 60 total events planned, to be held over a period of 7 days, 56 are FREE (no single coin required). A special ticket granting combined access to all the 4 Premier events is on sale. Tickets for individual events are also available. Turn out and enjoy what we have prepared for a while.
